Playful, laughter-inducing yoga? Check. Massage and acupressure to melt away tension? Check. Getting quality time with your bestie/beloved/sister/brother/cousin/yoga bud? Check!
In this workshop, you will be guided through a practice of partner-assisted asanas (poses) and thai massage techniques. This practice is all about creating bliss, cultivating connection, trust and deeper awareness with your yoga partner. It is a practice to directly experience the root principle of yoga: union. Partner yoga promotes laughter and creativity, concentration and balance, as well as relaxation and rejuvenation.
Thai massage is a unique form of bodywork which combines stretching, compression massage, manipulation of acupressure points, thai yoga postures, energy work and meditation. In this workshop you will experience it as a practice shared by two people who alternate between the roles of being the “giver” and the “receiver”. This healing modality addresses muscular tension and limited range of motion, allowing you to experience yoga postures in a whole new way, challenges with circulation and the lymphatic system, and helps release of emotional and mental stress.
For this workshop, please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes. Appropriate for all levels of yoga students. Not recommended for people working with injuries.
