In this series, you will experience meditations that will feature yogic breaths (pranayamas) and sacred sounds (mantras), as well as hand and finger positions (mudras) that activate the limbic system and different nerve and energy centers to awaken your experience of deep connection to all that Is. Explore what it is to re-connect to ourselves and all beings authentically, with more compassion and loving-kindness through these practices.

Classes will start with a short sequence of gentle yoga postures to relieve the body of tension, creating ease in the body, so you can sit more comfortably in meditation.

Yoga is comprised of many practices and techniques that bring you back to a state of wholeness. Meditation is yoga for the mind; pranayama is yoga for the heart; asana is yoga for the body. This series is excellent for practitioners of all levels.

4 Week Workshop

Need some inspiration and guidance to kickstart or recommit to your meditation practice? You’ve probably heard all about the extraordinary effects of meditation on our well-being, but maybe you’ve tried and the habit hasn’t stuck, or you’re new to it all. This series is about helping you learn mindfulness so that you can create a habit of meditation.

We will addresses how to let go of the old habits that get in your way. You’ll learn techniques to cultivate a consistent practice of meditation with guided techniques and pranayama (yogic breath work). Meditation is yoga for the mind; pranayama (yogic breath) is yoga for the heart. Along this journey, you’ll discover how discipline is devotion to your Self. You will learn how to master different pranayamas ranging from Ujayii to Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire) and beyond. We will discuss and experience breaths that have different effects, such as those that invigorate and calm the nervous system with a direct effect on the mind and body. These practices are also beneficial in cleansing toxins from the body. Learn how to practice these breaths both on their own or while doing yoga postures to bring you to a state of well-being and peace.

An evening filled with a little playful, laughter-inducing yoga and the chance to learn and receive lots of thai yoga massage to melt away tension. This is all about getting quality time with your bestie or your beloved.

In this workshop, you will be guided through a short practice of partner-assisted asanas (poses), then we’ll move into giving and receiving thai yoga massage techniques. This practice is all about creating bliss, cultivating connection, trust and deeper awareness with yourself and your yoga partner. It is a practice to directly experience the root principle of yoga: union. Partner yoga promotes laughter and creativity, concentration and balance, as well as relaxation and rejuvenation.

Thai yoga massage is a unique form of yoga therapy which combines stretching, compression massage, manipulation of acupressure points, thai yoga postures, energy work and meditation. In this workshop you will experience it as a practice shared by two people who alternate between the roles of being the “giver” and the “receiver”. This healing modality addresses muscular tension and limited range of motion, allowing you to experience yoga postures in a whole new way, challenges with circulation and the lymphatic system, and helps release emotional and mental stress.

Come with a yoga partner, whether that’s a significant other or a friend, and don’t forget to wear loose fitting clothes. It’s advised to finish eating at least 90 minutes before starting the workshop. This workshop is not advised for those with injuries. Appropriate for all levels of yoga students.
